Coming soon: New article “Living in an Eel’s World”

From the American Indian Culture and Research Journal: As a special issue guest editor, Dr. Paulette Steeves opens a space for reclaiming and rewriting Indigenous histories, science, and experiences from an Indigenous perspective. She has brought together essays that discuss Indigenous knowledge and research on archaeology, anthropology, culture, environmental studies, and justice. This forthcoming collection of essays (December 2025) aims for a “pyroepistemology” that cleanses the scholarly landscape and prepares for new growth (Steeves 2015). Contributing authors, essay titles, and exact publishing date soon to be announced. Stay tuned!
